DY Series Mechanical Bar Screen

Rotary mechanical bar screens (commonly referred to as mechanical bar screens) intercept and remove various solid particles and floating debris during the initial stages of sewage treatment. This ensures that subsequent treatment processes can proceed smoothly. It is a key piece of equipment for intercepting and removing debris in the treatment of municipal sewage and industrial sewage, such as from the textile, paper, food, and leather industries. It is a widely applicable debris removal device. The unit features a screen mesh composed of screen teeth, screen tooth shafts, and chain plates, replacing the traditional bar screens. The screen mesh rotates within the frame, intercepting suspended solids in the sewage and continuously separating them from the water. This results in high efficiency, smooth operation, minimal water level difference before and after the screen, and resistance to clogging. This machine is suitable for use as both coarse and fine screens. The screen teeth in the screen mesh can be manufactured from either engineering plastics or stainless steel, while the screen tooth shafts and chain plates are made of stainless steel, significantly enhancing the overall corrosion resistance of the screen. For screens with smaller gaps, stainless steel screen teeth are generally recommended. During operation, the rake teeth carry debris trapped on the screen surface upward toward the discharge outlet. When the rake teeth reverse direction and move downward, the debris falls by gravity through the discharge outlet into a conveyor or waste cart for removal or further processing.
